FREE Information Session

7th Sept 2024 3.30-4.30pm

Mana Health Practice, 130 Plenty Rd Preston

Ortho-Bionomy is a leading somatic therapy that quickly relieves tension, pain and stress without deep pressure or forceful manipulations. It is gentle for the client and easy on the practitioner’s body, making it a sustainable bodywork career option.

Many people achieve full recovery after only 3-4 sessions. Self-care techniques are included at each session which empower people to improve further at home, making long-term treatment plans unnecessary.

In this free information session Janine will discuss how Ortho-Bionomy was developed, how it works and what conditions it can help with. She will also give 1 or more brief sample sessions for attendees.

Suitable for:

  • People who experience muscle, joint and/or nerve pain and are interested to try Ortho-Bionomy
  • People interested in learning a gentle bodywork modality – as a beginner or experienced therapist (massage, physiotherapy, somatic therapy etc.)

Free parking is available in Plenty Rd and nearby streets.

Arthur Pauls, founder of Ortho-Bionomy, famously said “If you don’t want your clients to recover, don’t do posture work with them!” Creating better posture habits is key to long-term pain reduction and better ease of movement.

In this class we learn to assess and address clients’ inefficient postural habits to support long-term change.  We’ll look at common postural conditions including spinal curvatures (e.g. forward hunching, ‘phone neck’) and scoliosis and learn how to address them with positional release and movement techniques. We’ll explore post-release techniques to support the work done in a session and integrate new posture patterns.

Includes:

  • Detailed manual covering all concepts & techniques
  • Certificate for 16hrs/units of training in OBA’s programs and CEU points for OBA membership renewal
  • Refreshments provided (BYO lunch)
